About Us
Betta Babe was established in 2019
I started out as a betta lover and Hobbyist a few years ago, and then when I ended up with a bunch of betta fry, it sparked an excitement and curiosity inside me. I continued perfect the art of breeding bettas, got familiar with the genetics of these amazing fish, and all the possibilities you can create with them.
My background with biology made it exciting to learn all I could about these fish and create my own unique lines of colors. I felt like such a proud mom every time I raised a batch of babies to adults, and it is such a rewarding process overall, but it is A LOT of work and not for the faint of heart. Most of my house is covered in tanks, and I spend many hours a day caring for my babies, frequent water changes, feeding them three times a day, constant monitoring, and vacuuming, and a 6 month commitment for each new batch I breed!
I've loved every moment of being a breeder, and I enjoy growing plants, aquascaping, and also keeping shrimp. I strive to make sure my bettas are bred and raised ethically, and that every home they go to is a good home, and that the owners are as educated as possible, this is why I've committed my Facebook page to a learning and sharing platform, where I share tips and tricks on how to successfully keep bettas and have them as healthy as possible!
The money I make goes towards paying for medical treatments for my rare genetic disease, so not only are you getting a beautiful fish, but you're also helping me continue to feel well and keep up the hobby :) I appreciate all the support from the community I gotten so far and hope to keep putting smiles on people's faces with my little fishies.
